I was deeply challenged, encouraged, and blessed by reading your book, "Tired of Playing Church?" I found the book to be authentic, vulnerable, biblical, logical and practical. You were very sensitive in describing where the church has fallen short in the area of body life.

It was evident this book came from your heart because it was filled with holy passion! Mark and Kathi, the church needs to hear this! In fact, the leadership of each church needs to read it. Sometimes we all lose our focus to BE the church. I feel this book will be a God-given catalyst to re-focus us as a church.

Oh, by the way, my favorite chapter was, "Confess Your Sins." You really resonated with me when you wrote, "When it comes to sin, we are far too private and prideful to even consider opening up our lives to just anyone." Then you went on to write about having an authentic relationship with another believer, which I felt is missing in conservative evangelical Christianity. Once again, thanks for being "real" in your book!

My heart also burned within me when I began to read Mark and Kathi’s manuscript. It spoke to the yearning deep within me to experience authentic Christian fellowship in my local church. I long for us to be the church.
